<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30 A.M.,
<br />on April 6, 1970, with Lloyd S. Taylor and James A. Bickel present. The minutes
<br />of the previous meeting were reviewed.
<br />BIDS OPENED - STREET MATERIALS
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for:
<br />Item #3 (of bid 3/9/70) - 275,000 gals. -more or less, SS-1H
<br />emulsified asphalt (anionic)
<br />Item #6 (of bid 3/9/70) - 900 tons more or less, street
<br />patching material
<br />the Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and
<br />the Tri County News on March 27 and April 3, 1970, which were read and.found to be
<br />proper. The following bids were received:
<br />Bituminois Materials Co. Inc., 417 Marycrest Bldg., South Bend, Indiana. Non
<br />collusion affidavit was found to be proper.' Bid was accompanied by bid bond of
<br />10% of the bid.
<br />Item #3 - $0.1210 per gal(truck delivery). $0.1260 per,gai (tank deliveryl.
<br />Item #6 - $7.25 per ton #11 or #12 crushed limestone mixture
<br />$6.75 per ton #12 crushed gravel mixture
<br />Emulsified Asphalts, Inc., 4900 S. Mason Ave., Chicago, Illinois, 60638. Non
<br />collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was accompanied by a bid bond of
<br />$10,000.00.

<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was accompanied by bid bond
<br />of 10% of the bid.
<br />Item #6 - $7.50 per ton - using MC or SC as liquid.

<br />There being no other bids, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were
<br />referred to the Street Commissioner for study and recommendation to the Board.
<br />OPEN BIDS - ROSEMARY LANE SEWER EXTENSION
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the construction of approximately
<br />1125 linear feet of 10 inch sewer and sewage lift station for the Rosemary Lane,
<br />Sewer Extension, the Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South
<br />Bend Tribune and the TO County News on March 13 and March 20, 1970, which were
<br />examined and found to be proper.
<br />Bids were received as follows:
<br />H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor, Inc., 2540 W. Sixth Street, Mishawaka, Indiana.
<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was accompanied by a bid bond
<br />of 10% of the bid and financial statement (Form 96-a).

<br />Dye Plumbing & Heating, 712 Madison Street, LaPorte, Indiana, 46350. Non collusion
<br />affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was accompanied by a bid bond of 10% of the
