<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the bids were referred
<br />to the Street Department and the Engineering Department for study and
<br />recommendation to the Board.
<br />BIDS OPENED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297 - HAWTHORNE DRIVE
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the improvement of Hawthorne
<br />Drive, from McKinley to Colfax, by constructing a Class C pavement with
<br />curb repair, the Clerk tendered proofs of notice by publication in the
<br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on March 6 and March 13, 1970,
<br />which were read and found to be sufficient.
<br />Bids, tabulated below, were received from the following companies:

<br />The applications of Michael John Rankin and Alfonza Ward for appointment
<br />to the South Bend Fire Department were filed with the Board and referred
<br />to the Personnel Director for further processing.
