Itc 3/9/70 1.141 S. Michigan Street. Neither George nor Victoria Bernath appeared as requested. Mr. Adamson reported the owners have been given a list of neces- sary repairs to bring the property up to standard and that the building was posted in January, 1970, as unsafe; that the building was occupied by five families and they have all been relocated except one family. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted to the Sub - Standards Director to seek bids for demolition of the premises at 1141 S. Michigan Street. 751 S. Michigan Street. Mrs. Felix J. Boadway did not appear as requested. Mr. Adamson reported this property has been severely damaged by fire. Demolition contractor Jerry Davis, present at the meeting, stated he has a contract with the owner for demolition of the structure. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued one week to permit the owner to demolish the property. 816 Oak Street. Mr. Adamson stated nothing further has been heard from John Lamirand who appeared before the Board on February 24 and was to close the property or dispose of it, and that the property is still open. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was granted permission to seek bids for the demolition of the property at 816 Oak Street. 1229 E. Cedar:rStreet. Nr. Adamson reported this building is to be rehabilitated and the motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried to continue the matter indefinitely, and the Sub -Standards Director was directed 'to keep the property, under surveillance. 518 S. Rush Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property is to be demolished by the owner. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter.was continued one week. 1016 W. Washington. Demolition contractor Jerry Davis, present at the meeting, stated he is trying to buy this property. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued one week. 1143 S. Franklin Street. Upon motion.made, seconded and unanimously carried, this matter was continued one week. 745 Frances Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was granted the Sub -Standards Director to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 745 Frances Street. 123 N.Aackson Street. Mr. Adamson reported this bu 1ding partially closed.' Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried_, the matter was continued one week, and the Sub -Standards Director was instructed to contact Clem Winkowski, representative of the owner, to advise that if no action is taken by the owner the structure will be taken down by the City. (Clem Winkowski appeared before the Board at 11:35 A.M. and advised that the property is being sold on a land contract.) 301 Hydraulic. Richard Muesei, owner of this property, appeared before the Board and stated that the property has now been properly secured. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the matter was continued until -April 13, 1970. Demolition bids opened: This being the date set, bids for demolition of the following properties were opened. Bid bonds were examined and found to be proper. Bids being: 125 N. Jackson Street: O'Neal.cTrucking Co. $215.00 B & J Demolition Co. 395.00 Bryant Excavating Co. 260.00 A & J Demolition Co. 310.00 Midwest Demolition Co. 249.00 It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that contract for demolition of the premises at 125 N. Jackson Street be awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company on its low bid of $215.00. 1 1 1
