4.1 <br />9/5/72 <br />PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF DEAN STREET <br />A petition was received from Joseph V. Simeri. Attorney for Super Auto <br />Salvage, Inc., requesting the vacation of a part of Dean Street from the <br />West line of the first north -south alley West of Main Street to the West <br />line of the southwest one -quarter section 241IT37N,R2E. $75.00 was de- <br />posited for costs. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the <br />petition was referred to the Engineering Department for study and recom- <br />mendation. <br />543-°North-Hill Street This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 513 North Hill Street, the following <br />bids, their non -collusion affidavits in order, were opened and read: <br />B & J Demolition $3,850-00 <br />953.00 <br />Midwest 4 <br />O'Neal Trucking 1,1300.00 <br />00.00 <br />Bryant Excavating <br />TIN Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to Midwest <br />e--1 Demoliti©n Company on its low bid of $953.00. <br />M <br />RESOLUTION N0.10,9/5/72 <br />U WHEREAS, The Board of Publ-ic Works and Safety, has found it necessary <br />in the best interest of the public safety and welfare to con- <br />struct certain street improvements at the Sample Street and <br />Walnut Street intersection, <br />WHEREAS, the improvements -to the aforesaid street are compatible with <br />the Urban Area Transportation Study, and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of these certain improvements are to be pro -rated <br />at 25% to the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund and 75% <br />to the Local Roads and Street Account, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has the authority to make <br />such improvements as provided by the General Assembly, there- <br />fore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works and Safety orders the De; <br />partment of Public Works to prepare the plans, specifications, <br />cost estimates, secure the necessary right-of-way, permits, <br />appropriations, and to seek bids for and to construct said <br />at the Sample Street and Walnut Street intersections. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />s/ Charles A.
