8/7/72 <br />522 Leland Avenue This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 522 Leland Avenue, the following <br />bids were opened and read: Non -collusion affidavits were found to be <br />In proper order. <br />B & J Demolition <br />$735.00 <br />Bryant <br />Excavating & Demo. <br />537.00 <br />O'Neal <br />Trucking Co. <br />749.00 <br />Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried <br />the bids were ordered held <br />for one week and <br />referred to the Legal <br />Department. <br />LETTER FROM S. LAWTENCE WEBB <br />A letter was received from S. Lawrence Webb complaining about the <br />condition of the property at 672 LaPoete Avenue. Mr. Jerry Davis, <br />the demolition contractor appeared before the Board to explain why <br />he had not cleaned up the property. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, Mr. Davis was instructed to have the property cleaned up <br />by the end of this day. <br />e--I <br />2fJ REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - MAIN STREET AND CHIPPEWA AVENUE <br />w <br />Lam.) A letter was received from William J. Richardson, City Engineer, <br />asking that bids be received on Project R&S 47 - Main Street and <br />Chippewa Avenue Pavement Improvement. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the <br />above project returnable on August 21st, 1972. <br />HOME TOWN PLAN APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Home Town Plan Speci- <br />fications were approved and ordered filed. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3363,1972 ALLEY EAST <br />OF PRAIRIE <br />William J. Richardson, City Engineer, files with the Board the <br />assessment roll, show$ng the assessment of benefits and the award <br />of damages in Vacation Resolution No. 3363,1972, for the vacation of: <br />The first north -south alley East of <br />Prairie Avenue, running from iddiana <br />Avenue south to the first east -west alley. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, <br />including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, <br />water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within <br />the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the Indi- <br />vidual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by <br />such vacation: <br />Lots 21, 22 and 23 and 32 of Byeriey's Addition. <br />Total net benefits .$00,00 <br />Total net damages $00.00 <br />August 28, 1972 was the date set for hearing all persons interested in <br />or affected by such vacation and these proceedings, and the Clerk is <br />directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News on August i1, August 18 and August 25, 1972. <br />
