387 <br />1 <br />t, <br />e--I <br />Lf� <br />1 <br />7/24/72 <br />PERMISSION TO CLOSE WEST WASHINGTON STREET - YOUTH ADVOCACY PROGRAM <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the approval of the Board was <br />granted to the Youth Advocacy Program to hold a concert on Sunday,. <br />July 30, 1972 and close West Washington Street.from Camden Street to <br />Falcon Street. This was on the recommendation of the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting. <br />PERMISSION TO REMOVE RAILROAD AUTOMATIC CROSSING GATES <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the rec- <br />ommendation of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to permit the <br />Chicago, South Shore and South Bend Railroad to remove crossing <br />gates at Birdsell Street and at Walnut Street provided (1) Trains <br />approaching these intersections come to a full stop, and (2) A <br />flagman enter the intersection to warn motorists of the approach- <br />ing train. <br />PERMISSION TO CLOSE SUNNYMEDE - BLOCK PARTY <br />A request was received from Mrs. Steve McNally to close Sunnymede <br />Avenue from SunnysiK:de to Twyckenham Drive was, upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />for study and report. <br />CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES - EMMETT K. TROYER, CARL J. REINKE_& SONS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the continuation of Emmett <br />K. Troyer's Contractor's Bond was continued to August 29, 1973 and <br />Cart J. Reinke & Sons' Contractor's Bond was continued to August <br />4, 1973. <br />PERMISSION TO CANCEL BOND - LEON H. MARTIN <br />A letter requesting permission to cancel a Contractor's bond for <br />Leon H. Martin was received by the Board. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, .the bond was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Bureau of Buildings for investigation and <br />report. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports were apporoved for the period from <br />7/6/72 to 7/20/72. <br />There being <br />motion made, <br />11:00 A.M. <br />no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />seconded and carried the meeting was adjourned at <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />
