7/17/72 <br />35 <br />1 <br />.1 <br />Bradberry Bros. <br />20061 Dice Street <br />South Bend, _Indiana <br />Non Collusion Affidavit was found to be in proper order and a bid <br />bond in an amount of 5% of the bid accompanied the bid. <br />Base Bid total $157,699.00 <br />Alternate "A" 17,500.00 <br />Base and Alternate Bid Total 175,199.00 <br />Howell Construction Company, Inc. <br />111 E. Windsor Street <br />`Elkhart, Indiana 46514 <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was found to be in proper order and a bid <br />bond of an amount of 5% of the bid accompanied bid. <br />Base bid Total <br />Alternate "A" <br />Base and Alternate Bid Total <br />$ 91,014.00 <br />11,000.00 <br />102,014.00 <br />The above bids were referred to the Bureau of Engineering for tabulation <br />and study. <br />NO BIDS FOR POWER SWEEPER <br />No bids were received for a Power Sweeper for the Street Department <br />and the Clerk was directed to readvertise for same. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BIDS OPENED - POLICE UNIFORMS <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for uniforms for the Police <br />Department for the period from July 1, 1972 to July 1, 1973, the Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County news and same were found to be sufficient. <br />The only bid was from Gerber Manufacturing Company, Harrison Road, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana. The Bid was opened. Non -collusion Affidavit <br />was found to be in order. The bid was accompanied by a bid bond <br />in an amount of 10% of the bid. The Chairman stated that since the <br />bid was by item and quite lenghthy it would not be read item by item <br />unless requested but would be open for inspection. No one requested the <br />bid to be read in detail. The bid was as follows: <br />A.
