7/10/72 PETITION TO VACATE ROSE STREET & ALLEYS - ED CHAPLEAU A petition was received asking for the vacation of a portion of Rose Street and Cushing Street and t:';e alleys. $75.00 was deposited for costs. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission simultaneously for study and eecommendation. CONTRACTOR'S BONDS Contractor's bonds were approved and ordered filed for Bruno Cataldo sto 7/6/73, Kenneth Story to 6/15/73, and Royal M. Pinnick to 7/6/73. LETTER FROM AREA EXTENSION AGENT,CEA - UNLOAD SUPPLIES___ The following letter was received. July 10, 1972 Board of Public Works City of South Bend County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 GENTLEMEN: Re: Provisions for Staff of Cooperative Extension Service topark in front of County -City Building while obtain- ing supplies and equipment from the Extension Office to conduct Education - meetings. The function of the,. -.,Cooperative Extension Service staff is to carry out educational programs and meetings throughout St. Joseph County including South Bend and Mishawaka. Each staff member parks his or her auto in parking lots or garages in the downtown South Bend area while on duty in the Cooperative Extension Service office. However, the majority of the meetings or programs conducted by the Cooperative Extension Service require travel by auto and in addition educational supplies and equipment (bulletins, publications, projectors, screens, etc.) to conduct the meetings. Because of the problem involved of transporting sup- plies and equipment from the sixth floor of the County -City Building to the staff member's auto, I am requesting the Cooperative Extension Service Staff be given permission to park in f ronttof the County -City Building while securing supplies and equipment enroute to a meeting.
