364 <br />7/3/72 <br />BOND OF JAMES S. JACKSON CO. INC., RELEASED <br />Upon motion made,,seconded and carried, the Bond of James Jackson <br />Company, Inc., was ordered released as of this date. <br />COMPLAINT - WARREN OUTLAW <br />Mr. Warren Outlaw, 3217 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana <br />complained to the Board that he has contracts with the Veterans Ad- <br />ministration and F.N.A. as well as demolition Contractors, to clean <br />up the debris when houses are demolished, and frequently when his <br />sons are cleaning up they have been stopped by the Police. He was <br />advised to get a letter from the Contractors or Mr. Brown of the <br />V.A. stating that he had'a right to clean up the premises or have <br />his sons on the premises. Councilman Newburn spoke in support of <br />his statement. <br />COUNCILMAN PARENT PRESENT <br />Councilman Parent inquired about the status of the houee on Brummit <br />Lane and was referred to Mr. Liszewski. <br />He also asked about the debris at 1320 East Cedar and asked is this <br />was city property. This was referred to the Legal Department to see <br />about the status of the deed to this property. <br />ASKED TO RELEASE BOND - AAA EXCAVATING AND WRECKING COMPANY <br />A letter was received from the Reliance Bonding Company asking for <br />the release of a bond on AAA Excavating and Wreeking company and <br />was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation. <br />WEIGHTS AND MEASURES DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Bert Cichowicz, City Sealer, appeared before the Board and <br />matters pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />PERMISSION TO ATTEND CONFERENCE <br />Mr. Cichowicz asked permission to attend the 57th National Conference <br />on Weights and Measures in Washington, D.C. from July 10 to 14th. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was granted. <br />Mr. Cichowicz presented his report for -the fiscal year, and it was <br />ordered filed. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, a request for approval of <br />2 Hour Parking -Limit on the North side of the 2.300 block Lincoln <br />Way West from Elmer Street to Olive Street was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />Street Light Outage Reports were ordered filed for 6/12/72 - 6/28/72. <br />There being no further business to come before <br />made, seconded and carried, them tiwas adj <br />'14 61_"� <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />am J. <br />the Board upon motion <br />�rned at 10:55 A.K <br />D <br />rcome <br />ichardson <br />
