6/26/72 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried this matter was referred to Mr. <br />Liszewski for investigation and report. <br />LETTER FROM DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT RE: SUB STANDARD BUILDINGS <br />The Department of Redevelopment sent a letter to the Board asking that <br />the following list of addresses be referred to the Sub -standards Division <br />because they are vacant and open and in bad conditions with many violations <br />of the housing code; <br />513 St. Louis Street <br />731 East Corby Street <br />505 Kalorama Street <br />726 North Hill Street <br />906 Stanfield Street <br />816 North Frances Street <br />515 North Hill Street <br />513 North Hill Street <br />822 South Bend Avenue (assessory bldg. attached) <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the above <br />to Mr. Liszewski for investigation and report. <br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY BETWEEN NILES AND HILL STREET - LUTHER <br />V <br />V <br />A petition was received asking for the vacation of the first north -south <br />alley between Niles and Hill Streets running from Washington Street to the <br />first East and West Cross alley. $75.00 was deposited for costs. Upon <br />motion duly made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the <br />Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission simultaneously for <br />study and recommendation. <br />ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO, 3359,1972 -OAKPARK DRIVE - JAMES QUILL <br />Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board its recommendation <br />for the vacation of Oak Park Drive from the Oakridge-Oak Park intersection <br />to the West property line of 1817 Oak Park Drive, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />vacation resolution No. 3359,1972 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, iNDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />Oak Park Drive from the Oakridge-Oak Park inter- <br />section to the West property line of 1817 Oak Park <br />Drive <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any <br />facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, tele- <br />phone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, <br />within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the <br />Individual Utilities. <br />The following properties may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Lot 57, 84 and a part of Lot 83 in Wooded Estates <br />Addition. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 9th day <br />of June and the 16th day of June, 1972, in the South Bend Tribune and <br />the Tri County News. <br />
