6/26/72 Upon motion made, seconded and carried this matter was referred to Mr. Liszewski for investigation and report. LETTER FROM DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT RE: SUB STANDARD BUILDINGS The Department of Redevelopment sent a letter to the Board asking that the following list of addresses be referred to the Sub -standards Division because they are vacant and open and in bad conditions with many violations of the housing code; 513 St. Louis Street 731 East Corby Street 505 Kalorama Street 726 North Hill Street 906 Stanfield Street 816 North Frances Street 515 North Hill Street 513 North Hill Street 822 South Bend Avenue (assessory bldg. attached) Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the above to Mr. Liszewski for investigation and report. PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY BETWEEN NILES AND HILL STREET - LUTHER V V A petition was received asking for the vacation of the first north -south alley between Niles and Hill Streets running from Washington Street to the first East and West Cross alley. $75.00 was deposited for costs. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission simultaneously for study and recommendation. ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO, 3359,1972 -OAKPARK DRIVE - JAMES QUILL Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board its recommendation for the vacation of Oak Park Drive from the Oakridge-Oak Park intersection to the West property line of 1817 Oak Park Drive, the following resolution was adopted: vacation resolution No. 3359,1972 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, iNDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: Oak Park Drive from the Oakridge-Oak Park inter- section to the West property line of 1817 Oak Park Drive Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, tele- phone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the Individual Utilities. The following properties may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lot 57, 84 and a part of Lot 83 in Wooded Estates Addition. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 9th day of June and the 16th day of June, 1972, in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News.
