Noble <br />Clerk of the Board of Public <br />Works and Safety <br />LETTER FROM ROGER PARENT RE: HOUSE AT 1320 EAST CEDAR STREET <br />A letter was received from Councilman Roger Parent regarding a house <br />at 1320 East Cedar Street which is in very bad condition. Mr. Liszewski <br />informed the Board that Charles Boynton is the attorney for the estate <br />of Leona Fites, the owner. The Board instructed the Clerk to write to <br />Mr. Boynton informing him that the property must be cleaned up at once, <br />and if the house has been sold, the new owner is to appear before the <br />Board on June 26th. <br />LETTER FROM _ROGER PARENT RE• HOUSE AT 2417 EAST EDISON ROAD <br />A letter was received from Councilman Roger Parent about a house at 2417 <br />East Edison Road which is reportedly owned by the United States Postal <br />Service for the future building of a Post Office. The house on the <br />property is in very bad condition, with broken windows, debris, etc. <br />Mr. Liszewski was instructed to write to the owners asking them to <br />come before theBoard on June 26th to show cause why the building <br />should not be demolished. <br />HUMANE SOCIETY ANNUAL REPORT <br />The Annual Report of the Humane Society of St. Joseph Coubty,�`indiana, <br />Inc., was filed with the Board. <br />MR. TOM QUARLES - FLYING SQUAD <br />Mr. Tom Quarles, 3005A Easton Court, Mishawaka, appeared before the Board <br />with five boys who comprise a 'flying squad' of the Southeast Neighborhood <br />Center. He was requesting a contract between the City.and the Flying <br />Squad to clean up vacant lots in the city for $1.40 per hour. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, this was referred to the City Engineer and the <br />City Controller. <br />LETTER RE: DAVEMEDICH vs CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ET AL <br />Cause No. F-2616, St. Joseph Superior Court <br />June 6, 1972 <br />Mr. Charles A.
