Richardson, Member <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Freda G4 Noble, Clerk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5 - 5/22/72 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has found it necessary <br />in the best interest of the publis health and welfare to <br />construct a sanitary sewer along the north side of <br />Cleveland Road from the end of the existing sewer west to <br />the intersection of said Cleveland Road and Maple Road, <br />all in German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and <br />WHEREAS, it is in.the best interest of the City of South Bend to <br />install this -sewer prior to the reconsttuction of said <br />Cleveland Road by the Board of Commissioners of said St. <br />Joseph County, and <br />WHEREAS, the Cumulative Sewer, Building and Sinking Fund has been <br />created by the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br />to fund projects of this type, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works and Safety orders the <br />Department of Public Works to prepare the plans, specifications, <br />cost estimates, secure the necessary right-of-way, permits, <br />appropriations, and to seek bids for and to construct said <br />Cleveland Road Sanitary Sewer. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />s/ Charles A. JANET ALLEN ON PEOPLE'S WEEKLY NEWSTAND <br />Mrs. Janet Allen complained about a newstand for the People's Weekly which <br />was on the corner of Main and Washington Streets, and is a hazard. The <br />Board directed the Chief of Police to investigate. <br />
