15/t/n,. <br />Mr. John Vanek appeared before the Board to explain why he has not <br />completed the clearing off of lots in the Randolph Street area. He <br />was told that unless everything is cleared up to the satisfaction of <br />the Board by May 8, 1972 bids will be let to clear up the debris and <br />finish the demolition of the buildings in the Randolph -Sampson Street <br />area. Mr. Vanek is to come before the Board on May,8th and make a <br />report. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3358-1972 ADOPTED - INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC <br />Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board its recommendation for <br />the vacation of a part of the first North -South alley west of Ironwood <br />Drive running South 133.45 feet from the South kight of way line of <br />the Grand Trunk And Western Railroad, the following resolution was adopted: <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3358*1972 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />A part of the first North -South alley West of <br />tf� Ironwood Drive, running South 133.45 feet from <br />the South Right of way line of the Grand Trunk and <br />Western Railroad. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, <br />including, but notiimited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, <br />water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the <br />vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the individual <br />Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 136 and 135 and 134 in Plat of Hastings, Woodward <br />and Gray's Addition. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 5 day of <br />May and the 12 day of May, 1972, in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri County News. <br />This Board, at its office, on the 15 day of May, 1972, at <br />9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons <br />interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this 1 day of May, 1972. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />s/ Charles A. Noble, Clerk <br />CHARLES HOWELL RELATIVE TO DUEY STREET <br />Mr. Charles Howell, 1118 Duey Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before <br />the Board to request that no oil be put on Duey Street this summer. He <br />asked about paving the street, and was directed to obtain a petition for <br />Barrett Law Paving and present it to the Board. <br />
