15/t/n,. Mr. John Vanek appeared before the Board to explain why he has not completed the clearing off of lots in the Randolph Street area. He was told that unless everything is cleared up to the satisfaction of the Board by May 8, 1972 bids will be let to clear up the debris and finish the demolition of the buildings in the Randolph -Sampson Street area. Mr. Vanek is to come before the Board on May,8th and make a report. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3358-1972 ADOPTED - INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board its recommendation for the vacation of a part of the first North -South alley west of Ironwood Drive running South 133.45 feet from the South kight of way line of the Grand Trunk And Western Railroad, the following resolution was adopted: VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3358*1972 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: A part of the first North -South alley West of tf� Ironwood Drive, running South 133.45 feet from the South Right of way line of the Grand Trunk and Western Railroad. Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, including, but notiimited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the individual Utilities. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lots 136 and 135 and 134 in Plat of Hastings, Woodward and Gray's Addition. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 5 day of May and the 12 day of May, 1972, in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News. This Board, at its office, on the 15 day of May, 1972, at 9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. Noble, Clerk CHARLES HOWELL RELATIVE TO DUEY STREET Mr. Charles Howell, 1118 Duey Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board to request that no oil be put on Duey Street this summer. He asked about paving the street, and was directed to obtain a petition for Barrett Law Paving and present it to the Board.
