I'274 Ap r i 1 17, 1972 company to display a mobile billboard advertising "Dark Eyes Vodka" in front of the Indiana Club on May 21, 1972. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, this request was referred to the Department of Law to al- low Mr. Sweeney to research the City Ordinance pertaining to this matter. Mr. Sweeney advised Mr. Reasor that the Board would be in communication with him in the near future with an approval or denial of his request. RESOLUTION N0. 4-17 72 ADOPTED - PINHOOK LAGOON Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works and Safety: "RESOLUTION NO. 4-17-72 "WHEREAS, the Pinhook Park Lagoon is used as a public swimming area, and, "WHEREAS, the water level in this lagoon is primarily determined by the amount of rainfall, and, "WHEREAS, the water level of this lagoon is presently so low as to preclude the use of the .lagoon for its intended purpose, and, "WHEREAS, a source of water is presently available at the South Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant which is presently being channeled to the St. Joseph River, and, "WHEREAS, a part of this available water supply could be diverted to Pinhook Park Lagoon, and, "WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has authority under the Acts of the General Assembly of 1905, Chapter 129 as amended to layout, design, order and contract for and execute, the construction, alteration and maintenance of all public dsains within such City which may be necessary, and, now, therefore, "BE IT RESOLVED,4that the Board of Public Works and Safety finds it necessary for the public health, safety and welfare that a drain be constructed from the outlet of two existing pumps at the South Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant to the Pinhook Park Lagoon together with any necessary appurtenances, and that said Board hereby orders that the necessary design plans be prepared, that appropriations be sought, that bids be taken for construction materials, that contracts be entered into, and that said construction shall take place.
