175 1/10/72 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried Mr. Cichowicz was granted permission to attend the Weights and Measures Technical Training School in Indianapolis January 19 through 21, 1972. PETITION TO VACATE MEADE AND LONGLEY STREETS FOR SOUTH BEND PARK DEPARTMENT James R. Seitz, Superintendent Department of Public Parks files with the Board the petition to vacate Meade Street from Westmore to Roger and Longley Street from Eclipse to Meade Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred,simultaneously, to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation. CONTRACTOR"S BONDS APPROVED Contractor's bonds were presented for approval for: Bradberry Bros. Inc. to January 1, 1973 Robertson Construction Co. to January 1, 1973 Upon motion made, seconded and carried the above bonds were approved. Continuation Certificates for Contractor's Bonds were presented for: ,C4 Industrial Sandblasting & Coating Co, to December 31, 1972 Edward C. Inc. to January 1, 1973 Boyd Construction Co. to January 6, 1973 Mr. Sweeney asked that the standard forms for Contractors and Excavation bonds be referred to 'the Engineering Department for study and review. RETENTION BASIN The matter of the purchase by the city of the retention Basin built by Crestwood Development Company was continued for one week. TRAFFIC REGULATION - MARQUETTE AT ANGELA BOULEVARD - OLD MONROE STREET Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department to install a stop sign and post on the Southeast corner of Marquette at Angela. Marquette will be used as a detour during construction on North Shore Drive. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the installation of a 24x24 STOP sign and post on the northeast corner of Old Monroe and Fellows Street.
