December 13, 1971. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:35 A.M. <br />on December 13, 1971, with all members present. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - RESIGNATIONS FROM CADET PROGRAM <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted and approved the <br />resignations of the following from the Police Department Cadet Prpgram upon <br />the recommendation of Chief of Police Loren M. Bussert: <br />Michael Horvath - effective 12/15/71 <br />Robert Krizmanich - effective 12/15/71 <br />Linda Spalding - effective 12/15/71 <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - APPOINTMENT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />appointment of Gary Lee Reynolds,upon the recommendation of Chief of Police <br />Loren M. Bussert, as a police cadet effective December 16, 1971. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - PROMOTION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />promotion of Jerome D. Kreczmer to the rank of corporal effective as of <br />December 1, 1971, upon the recommendation of Chief of Police Loren M. Bussert. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were taken up: <br />315 Parkovash. Mr. Liszewski reported the property at 315 Parkovash has been <br />rehabilitated by the new owner and looks very nice. <br />613-615-617 W. LaSalle Street. Mr. Liszewski reported the attorney for the <br />owners of the property at 613-615-617 W. LaSalle Street has concluded sale of <br />the property and the new owner has agreed to remove the large building and <br />rehabilitate the two small structures. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the matter was continued until December 27, 1971. <br />517 E. Wenger. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter pertaining <br />to 517 E. Wenger Street was continued until December 27, 1971. <br />2112 W. Roger Street. Mr. Liszewski reported the owner is willing for the <br />City to take down the structure. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the <br />structure at 2112 W. Roger Street. <br />118 E. Fox Street. Mr. Liszewski reported the garage at 118 E. Fox Street <br />has been taken down and that the front porch is being repaired. <br />1024-10242 W. Oak Street. Mr. Liszewski reported the building remains in the <br />same condition and that he has heard nothing from the owners nor Charles W. <br />Hahn. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 1024-1024Z <br />W. Oak Street. <br />1819 S. Kendall Street. Mr. Liszewski reported he has had no reply from the <br />owner and that the building is open. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for <br />demolition of the structure at 1819 S. Kendall Street. <br />730 N. Scott. Douglas D. Caton did not appear as requested. Mr. Liszewski <br />reported there was a fire in February, 1971, and nothing has been done since <br />to the building. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of 730 N. <br />Scott Street was continued one week. <br />519 E. Wenger. Neither Frederick nor Georgia Selby appeared. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the matter of 519 E. Wenger Street was continued two <br />weeks for the Sub -Standards Department to contact the new owner. <br />
