10/12/71 103 TELEPHONES - CITY DEPARTMENTS The Board directs the Building Commissioner to review the number of telephones and extensions in each City Department to the end that any unneeded phones may be reproved. REQUEST OF MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION - COLLECTION KITS AT FIRE STATIONS Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the'Board approved the request of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 119 W. Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, Indiana, for permission to deposit collection kits at the fire stations for its fund raising project November 14, 1971, with the under- standing that the Fire Department will in no way be responsible for the kits. COMMUNICATIONS.- RE: MUSICAL PRODUCTION "HAIR" A resolution signed by Scott L. Weaver, Pastor of the Ireland Road Grace Brethren Church, 1701 Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, and a resolution signed by Rev. L. Paul Harris, Pastor of Community Church of Clay Township, 19671 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana, referring to the musical production "Hair" were read and ordered filed. COMMUNICATION - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY COMMISSIONERS A communication from the St. Joseph County Commissioners in reference to the use of coffee machines in the Departments (being against Fire Depart- ment regulations) was read and mrdered filed. STREET LIGHT REQUEST - W. ANGELA BOULEVARD Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Mrs. Gunnard A. Sandine, 306 W. Angela Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for improved street lighting on W. Angela Boulevard was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department. RECOMMENDATION FOR STREET LIGHTING - 100 Block of W. MONROE STREET Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the replacement of a 10,000L INC UG SP light with a 20,000L MV UG Sp light, at a cost of $3.25 per month, in the 100 block of W. Monroe Street. TOPICS REp811T A letter from Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., under date of September 22, 1971, submitting TOPICS report was ordered filed. CONTRACTOR'S BOND APPROVED Contractor's bond for Francis Kowalski, d/b/a Custom Masonry, commencing October 5, 1971, was approved and ordered filed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for the period 9/29/71 to 10/7/71 were ordered filed.
