95 <br />9127/71 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />STREET LIGHTINGrAPPRaVED SAMPLE STREET BRIDGE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for street lighting <br />on the old Sample Street bridge as follows: <br />Install 4 7,000L:.;.MV UG SP <br />2 7,000L MV UG SP <br />Remove 1 6,000L INC <br />I 4,OOOL INC <br />at an added cost of $324.00 per year. <br />URBAN RENEWAL STREET LIGHTS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the use of steel <br />pole light standards in the downtown renewal streets (excluding the Mall). <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION - NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD AND EDDY STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation <br />of the Traffic Engineering Department for the installation of a four-way stop <br />sign at Northside Boulevard and Eddy Street, at the east end of the newly <br />constructed Sample Street bridge. <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION - ED'.ISON ROAD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation <br />of the Traffic Engineering Department to prohibit parking in the newly <br />constructed portion of Edison Road, between Ivy Road and South Bend Avenue. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the contractor's bond of Albert J. <br />Mostaert, commencing September 18, 1971, was approved. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND TERMINATED - CHARLES BERTA <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried,Contractor's bond M48237 of Ohio <br />Casualty Company for Charles Berta was terminated for all work done on and <br />after September., 1971. <br />INTENT TO AWARD CONTRACT - IMPROVEMENT OF:INTERSECTIONS AT TWYCKENHAM DRIVE <br />AND EWING AVENUE AND AT PORTAGE AVENUE AND ELWOOD STREET <br />The City Controller having advised that funds will need to be appropriated <br />from the "cumulative capital improvement fund" and the "local road and <br />street fund" for the improvement of the intersections at Twyckenham Drive <br />and Ewing Avenue and at Portage Avenue and Elwood Street, it was moved, <br />seconded and carried, that the Rieth Riley Construction Company be advised <br />of the Board's intent to award contracts for said improvements to the Rieth <br />Riley Construction Company on its bids of September 7, 1971;,, pending the <br />enactment of ordinances for the appropriation of such funds. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 9/16/71 to 9/23/71 were ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to con <br />journed at 11:30 A.M. <br />ATT <br />Clerk <br />
