<br />REQUEST TO BLOCK CHAPIN STREET - ST. ANN SOCIETY OF OUR LADY OF HUNGARY
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request
<br />of Mr. Steo.hen M. Egyhazi, Room 336 County City Building, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, for permission to block Chapin Street, between Calvert and Bruce
<br />Streets, from 3:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., July 24, 1971, for the annual
<br />picnic of the St. Ann Society of Our Lady of Hungary.
<br />REQUEST TO CLOSE MONROE STREET FOR BLOCK PARTY - MRS. J. W. OBERFELL
<br />The request of Mrs. J.W. Oberfell, 1361 E. Monroe Street, on July 14,
<br />1971, to block East Monroe Street, between Twyckienham Drive and the first
<br />alley east of Sunnyside, for a block party on July 16, 1971, commencing
<br />at 5:00 P.M., approved by the Board on July 14, 1971, is.hereby made of
<br />record in these minutes.
<br />STREET LIGHT REQUEST - BROOKFIELD, GRANT, WARREN.`,AND CARLISLE STREETS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request for street lighting
<br />in the general area of the 1600 to the 2000 block south on Brookfield,
<br />Grant, Warren, and Carlisle Streets, filed with the Board by Mr. Jesse L.
<br />11-V Dickinson, 501 S. Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana, was referred to the
<br />r_4 Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation.

<br />w STOPS SIGNS APPROVED - ELMER AND BERGAN STREETS
<br />U Upon motion made,, seconded and unanimously carried, the,Board approved the
<br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the installation
<br />of stop signs at Elmer and Bergan Streets to replace the present "yield"
<br />signs.
<br />REQUEST TO RESERVE PARKING METERS - J. C. PENNEY CO., INC,
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of J. C. Penney Company,
<br />Inc., for permission to reserve and use three parking meters in front of
<br />the Penney Store on September 16, 1971, for promotional purposes, was re-
<br />ferred to the Traffic Engineering Department for study and recommendation.
<br />EXCAVATION BOND - CONTINUING CERTIFICATE APPROVED
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, certificate continuing,excavation
<br />bond for Eugene Statzer to 11/1/71 was approved.
<br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
<br />Street light outage reports for the period 7/2/71 to 7/16/71 were ordered
<br />filed.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting ad-
<br />journed at 11:10 A.M.
