<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M., with all members present.
<br />BIDS OPENED - FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for uniforms for the Fire Depart-
<br />ment for the period from August 1, 1971 to August 1, 1972, the Clerk
<br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the
<br />Tri County News which were read and found to be sufficient.
<br />The only bid was from Gerber Manufacturing Company, Harrison Road, Mishawaka,
<br />Indiana. The bid was opened. Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper.
<br />The bid was accompanied by a bid bond in the sum of $5800.00. The Chairman
<br />stated that since the bid was by items and quite lengthy it would not be
<br />read item by item unless requested but would be open for inspection. No
<br />one requested the bid be read in detail. The bid was as follows;
