SEWER RATE - GILMER PARK Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted; "RESOLUTION NO. 6-14-71 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY CITY OF SOUTH. BEND, IND IANA "WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has found it in the best interest of the public health and welfare to construct a sanitary trunk sewer in an area along South Michigan Street to Johnson Road, mostly in Gilmer Park Subdivisions but including other lands, all in Centre Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and "WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety did es- tablish the construction authority, the location and the �j necessity for said sanitary trunk sewer by adopting Resolution ;Z-4 No. 1 1-16-70 (b) , and U U "WHEREAS, the cost of said sewer was paid for out of funds known as Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund, and not assessed against the property owners, and 1 1 "WHEREAS, the policy of the Board of Public Works and Safety is to charge the benefited property at a rate of seven cents (70 per square foot up to 150 feet in depth from the property line, "NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the fee for connection to the above described sewer be at the rate of seven cents (70 per square foot up to a depth of 150 feet from the property line closest to the sewer. ENGINEER'S REPORT CONTRACT AWARDED NOTICE TO PROCEED IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 3334 - OLIVE STREET SIDEWALK For the improvement of Olive Street, from Ford Street to Western Avenue, by constructing sidewalk and curb repairs. Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, having examined bids received on June 7, 1971 for said improvement, recommends to the Board that the bid of Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., be accepted as the lowest and best bid received. The Board, having examined said bids and being duly advised in the premises, approves the recommendation of the consulting engineer and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, awards contract for such improvement to Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., upon its bid of $12,892.00. And the said Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., is directed to proceed with such improvement.
