6/14/71 <br />15 <br />Sun Oil Co. - No. 1 Diesel (tankwagon lots) - @ .1456� per gal. <br />No. 2 Diesel (tankwagon lots) - @ .1356G per gal. <br />SEWER RATE - GILMER PARK <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted; <br />"RESOLUTION NO. 6-14-71 <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />CITY OF SOUTH. BEND, IND IANA <br />"WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety has found <br />it in the best interest of the public health and welfare to <br />construct a sanitary trunk sewer in an area along South Michigan <br />Street to Johnson Road, mostly in Gilmer Park Subdivisions but <br />including other lands, all in Centre Township, St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana, and <br />"WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety did es- <br />tablish the construction authority, the location and the <br />�j necessity for said sanitary trunk sewer by adopting Resolution <br />;Z-4 No. 1 1-16-70 (b) , and <br />U <br />U "WHEREAS, the cost of said sewer was paid for out of funds <br />known as Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund, and not <br />assessed against the property owners, and <br />1 <br />1 <br />"WHEREAS, the policy of the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />is to charge the benefited property at a rate of seven cents <br />(70 per square foot up to 150 feet in depth from the property <br />line, <br />"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the fee for connection <br />to the above described sewer be at the rate of seven cents (70 <br />per square foot up to a depth of 150 feet from the property line <br />closest to the sewer. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />s/ Lloyd S. Bickel <br />"Dated this 14th day of June, 1971." <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />CONTRACT AWARDED <br />NOTICE TO PROCEED <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 3334 - OLIVE STREET SIDEWALK <br />For the improvement of Olive Street, from Ford Street to Western Avenue, <br />by constructing sidewalk and curb repairs. <br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, having <br />examined bids received on June 7, 1971 for said improvement, recommends to <br />the Board that the bid of Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., be accepted <br />as the lowest and best bid received. <br />The Board, having examined said bids and being duly advised in the premises, <br />approves the recommendation of the consulting engineer and, upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, awards contract for such improvement <br />to Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., upon its bid of $12,892.00. <br />And the said Rieth Riley Construction Company, Inc., is directed to proceed <br />with such improvement. <br />
