6/7/71 the north -south alley beginning at the north property line of Lot 29 in Denniston and Fellows Addition to the town, now city, of South Bend, and extending north 102 feet to an east -west intersecting alley, from Carroll to Columbia Street. and deposits $75.00 for costs. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition is referred simultaneously to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission for recommendation to the Board. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED - TOPICS PROGRAM The Board having reviewed plans and specifications for TOPICS (Traffic Operations Program for Increasing Capacity and Safety) projects for the im- provement of: the intersection of Twyckenham and Ewing; the intersection of Portage and Elwood; the intersection of Ironwood Road and Rockne Drive; and the intersection of Lincolnway West and William Street, Lloyd S. Taylor moved that the street plans and storm sewer plans for South- east Estates, Colonial Lane, be approved. The motion was seconded and unanimously carried. IN -KIND RENT VOUCHERS FOR JUNE - A.C.T.I.O.N., INC. In -kind rent vouchers for Fire Stations #5, #7 and #8 for the month of June, 1971, were ordered filed. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - ANNUAL REPORT FOR 1970 Annual report for 1970 submitted by the Wastewater Treatment Plant was reviewed and ordered filed. SHRINE PARADE 6/12/71 Copy Sf tdtter in reference to the Shrine Parade on June 12, 1971, was reviewed and ordered filed. COMPLAINT - MRS. CLARA NOWICKI Mrs. Clara Nowicki, 1410 W. Ford Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board and complained of a truck parked in the rear of 1408 W. Ford Street next to her garage and requested that it be removed under the ordinance governing abandoned vehicles. Mrs. Nowicki was advised the matter would be looked into, although the vehicle would not be considered abandoned if the owner objects to its removal. CLOSING OF RAILROAD CROSSINGS - PENN CENTRAL RAILROAD -Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation of the Engineering Department for vacating portions of Vernon and Caroline Streets that cross the Penn Central Railroad main lines was referred to the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation. REQUEST TO BLOCK CAMPEAU STREET Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of Joseph Warnell, 1115 E. Campeau Street, South Bend, Indiana, to close - Campeau Street, from Eddy to Jacobs Street from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Sa turday, June--12, 1971 for a bicycle rade and parade by the East Side Boys Club. REQUEST TO HOLD TENT MEETINGS - HOLINESS CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of Rev. Henry Underwood, 242 Sadie Street, South Bend, Indiana, for the Holiness Church of God in Christ to hold tent meetings in the vacant lot adjacent to 242 N. Sadie Street from July 1 to August 1, 1971, subject to the regulations of the Fire Prevention Bureau.
