6/1/71 <br />REQUEST TO LOCATE MOBILE TRAILER - I.B.M. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, upon the recommendation of <br />the Building Commissioner, the Board approved the request of the International <br />Business Machine Corporation, 618 N. Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />to locate a mobile demonstration trailer in the parking lot immediately to <br />the rear of its office building for approximately two months. <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department to prohibit parking <br />on the north side of Altgeld, Victoria, Fairview, Irvington, Eckman, Oakside <br />and Woodside Streets, from Michigan to the first alley intersection east. <br />STREET LIGHTING ON NAVARRE STREET, <br />A petition .signed by John J. Horan, 304 W. Navarre Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, and 32 other residents of the neighborhood for the installation of <br />street lights in the 300 and 400 blocks of West Navarre Street in keeping <br />with the historic atmosphere of the neighborhood was filed with the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried,..the.Traff.ic Engineering Department <br />was directed to notify the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company to change <br />the two mid block lights on Navarre Street from the present lights to the <br />G4 town and country type fixtures and to eliminate the new fixture at Park and <br />U Navarre Streets. <br />U <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND TERMINATED - DEZSO HORVATH <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the cont.ractor's bond of Derso Horvath, <br />No. 31 0130 2312 70 of the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, <br />at the request of the W. H. Bruner Agency, Inc., was terminated and cancelled <br />for all work done by Derso Horvath on and after June 1, 1971. <br />CONTRACTORS' BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried contractor's bond for James S. Jackson <br />Company, Inc. to May 20, 1972, and certificate continuing contractor's bond <br />for George F. Ebright, d/b/a Ebright Brothers Construction Company to lo/14/71 <br />were approved. <br />EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the excavation bond for Raymond Guzman, <br />d/b/a ABC Plumbing, Inc. to 5/25/72 was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 5/20/71 to 5/27/71 were ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11:33 A.M. <br />J <br />Lloyd S.
