Verkler Contractor to 1/1/75 <br />R.ieth Riley Construction Co. to 1/l/75 <br />Tiser Construction Co. to 12/31/74 <br />DECEMBER 17, 1973 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the bonds to the <br />dates listed. <br />RECOMMENDATION RE: TRUCK ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />The Board received the following memo: <br />To: Board of Public Works <br />From: Bureau of Traffic & Lighting, Clem Hazinski, Manager <br />Subject: Truck Ordinance Amendment <br />It is recommended that':the Truck Ordinance (Chapter 20, Section 106 <br />Exhibit Awl be amended as follows: <br />1. Main Street be changed from an access route between South Street <br />and Chippewa to a truck route. <br />2. Chippewa between Michigan St. & Main St, be changed from an access <br />route to a truck route. <br />3. South St. between Michigan St. and Main St, be deleted as a Federal <br />highway truck route. <br />4. Bendix Drive between L.W.W. and Cleveland Road be designated as an <br />access route. <br />5. Cleveland Road within the City Limits be designated as an access route. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation <br />and referred the memo to the Legal Department for preparation of the amendment <br />to the Ordinance. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of December 7 through December 12 <br />was received and ordered filed. <br />REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />The Board received a request from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the <br />removal of parking on the North side of the 100 Block of West Ewing Avenue. <br />There was a discussion about business places operating in that block and it <br />was suggested that an investigation be made as to whether the same result could <br />be achieved by removing parking from the South side of the street. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the request was referred back to Mr. Haz1nski for <br />a check to see whether parking could be removed from the south side of the <br />street instead of the north side. <br />CHANGE IN PLANS - TOPICS PROJECT T6000(11) <br />The Board received a recommended change in plans for the Topics Project <br />T600001), the one way pair of Michigan and Main Streets. The change reflects <br />a net increase of $385.00, and was approved by Mr. Farrand. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommended change. <br />1 <br />n <br />
