Lawrence, Indiana Bid - $4705.00 DECEMBER 17, 1973 Bid was signed by Larry Zeiger, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid was signed by Stephen A. Sabo, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a certified check in the amount of $700.00 accompanied the bid. Bid was signed by John K. Brennan, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid, Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to Donald Decker, Manager, Bureau of Streets, for review and recommendation. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL VACATION RESOLUTION NO._ 3384, 1973 This being the date set for holding a,hearing on the Assessment Roll of Vacation Resolution No. 3384, 1973, hearing was held for the vacation of the portion of the north -south alley between St. Peter Street and Notre Dame Street which extends from the south line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right of way to the north line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right of way. Also, the portion of the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and St. Peter Street which lies between the south line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right of way and the south line of the first east -west alley south of Wayne Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News on November 16, 23 and 30, 1973 which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll showing no net damages and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said Resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL VACATION RESOLUTION NO 3385, 1973 This being the date set for holding a hearing on the Assessment Roll of Vacation Resolution No. 3385, 1973, hearing was held for the vacation of a portion of Kerr Street, beginning at the west right-of-way line of Catalpa Street and the North right-of-way line of Kerr Street, thence west to the western end of Kerr Street, thence 50' south to the south right-of-way line of Kerr Street; thence east to a point 50' south of point of beginning; thence 50' north to the point of beginning. APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING CIVIC CENTER OLIVER ISLAND DAM Mr. Charles F. Lennon, Jr., Director of the Department of Redevelopment, appeared before the Board to request approval of a contract in the amount of $57,500 to develop the architectural and engineering work for the Oliver Dam Island, part of the Civic Center complex. The Civic Center Authority is requesting Board approval so that the contract may be submitted to the Common Council for their approval. Mr. Roemer concurred that approval should be given. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the contract.
