Sabo, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a certified check in the amount <br />of $700.00 accompanied the bid. <br />Bid was signed by John K. Brennan, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond accompanied the <br />bid, <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to Donald Decker, <br />Manager, Bureau of Streets, for review and recommendation. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL VACATION RESOLUTION NO._ 3384, 1973 <br />This being the date set for holding a,hearing on the Assessment Roll of <br />Vacation Resolution No. 3384, 1973, hearing was held for the vacation of the <br />portion of the north -south alley between St. Peter Street and Notre Dame Street <br />which extends from the south line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company <br />right of way to the north line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right <br />of way. Also, the portion of the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and <br />St. Peter Street which lies between the south line of the Grand Trunk Western <br />Railroad Company right of way and the south line of the first east -west alley <br />south of Wayne Street. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News on November 16, 23 and 30, 1973 which were found to be <br />sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll showing no net damages <br />and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said Resolution is in all things <br />ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL VACATION RESOLUTION NO 3385, 1973 <br />This being the date set for holding a hearing on the Assessment Roll of Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3385, 1973, hearing was held for the vacation of a portion of <br />Kerr Street, beginning at the west right-of-way line of Catalpa Street and the <br />North right-of-way line of Kerr Street, thence west to the western end of Kerr <br />Street, thence 50' south to the south right-of-way line of Kerr Street; thence <br />east to a point 50' south of point of beginning; thence 50' north to the point <br />of beginning. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News on November 16, 23, and 30, 1973, which were found to be <br />sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Assessment Roll showing no net <br />damages and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said Resolution , <br />is in all things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING CIVIC CENTER OLIVER ISLAND DAM <br />Mr. Charles F. Lennon, Jr., Director of the Department of Redevelopment, appeared <br />before the Board to request approval of a contract in the amount of $57,500 <br />to develop the architectural and engineering work for the Oliver Dam Island, part <br />of the Civic Center complex. The Civic Center Authority is requesting Board <br />approval so that the contract may be submitted to the Common Council for their <br />approval. Mr. Roemer concurred that approval should be given. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the contract. <br />
