REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 8 1973 37 A regular meeting of the Boar 8, 1973 at 9:30 a.m, with all was also present. Minutes of BIDS - SALE OF FIRE APPARATUS d of Public Works was convened on Monday, October members present. City Attorney James A. Roemer the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. This was the date set for receiving bids for the sale of fire apparatus. The Clerk tendered proofs of peblication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. No bids were received. Mr. Roemer suggested that Mr. Donald Kaufman, who had submitted a bid on one of these fire engines previously, be contacted and asked to make an offer on the 1957 Maxim. ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION:,'NO. 3384 1973 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following Vacation Resolution was adopted: VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3384, 1973 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: The portion")6f the north -south alley between St. Peter Street and Notre Dame Street which extends from the south line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right-of-way to the north line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right-of-way. Also, the portion of the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and St. Peter Street which lies between the south line of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company right-of-way and the south line of the first east -west alley south of Wayne Street. Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the individual Utilities. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: .............. Lots 267, 268, the north portion of Lot 269, 273, 274, the north portion of 275, 339, 340, 345 and 346 in Samuel L. Cottrell's First Addition to the town of Lowell, now within and a part of the City of South Bend. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 12th and 19th day of October, 1973 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri-County News. This Board, at its office, on the 5th day of November, 1973, at 9:30 o'clock A.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
