REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 1973 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board directed that two units, <br />the 1957 Maxim Fire Engine and the 1950 Maxim Fire Engine, should be re -advertised <br />for sale with sealed bids to be received on October 8, 1973. The advertisement. <br />should set a minimum bid price of $975 on the 1957 Maxim and $500 on the 1950 <br />Maxim and should state that the bid should be accompanied by a bid bond, cash <br />or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid. <br />REQUEST TO PARK BUS ON MAIN STREET <br />Mr. Thomas Marshall, of the Greyhound Bus Terminal, was present and requested <br />that the Board allow their New America Crusiser bus to be displayed on Main . . <br />Street, just south of the bus loading zone on Thursday, October 4, 1973. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request to park the <br />bus on Main Street, subject to approval by Clem Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting, and to the reimbursement to the City for the lost -.-of <br />revenue for two parking meters. <br />DISPOSITION OF LAND VACATED BY BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ACTION <br />There was a discussion as to property vacated by a Vacation Resolution of the <br />Board of Public Works. The Board directed that James A. Roemer, City Attorney, <br />investigate the procedure whereby property is awarded to the abutting property <br />owners after vacation proceedings to determine whether the City has any other <br />options open. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m. <br />in E.
