REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 20, 1973 REOUEST FOR PARADE - LATIN AMERICAN ASSEMBLY OF GOD The Board received a request.from Rev. Z. R. Cabello, Pastor of the Latin.American Assembly of God Church to hold a parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25. The parade would begin at Pulaski Park, follow Western Avenue east to Lafayette, north on Lafayette to Lincolnway West, West on Lincolnway to Harrison and north on Harrison to their church. The parade would be marchers only and Rev. Cabello estimated there would be fifty young people. The Board asked whether the march would be held on the sidewalk and Rev. Cabello said that it would. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request to allow the march on the sidewalk on the route outlined. REQUEST FOR PARADE - CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH The Calvary Baptist Church requested permission of the Board to hold a parade on Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. in an area West of Portage and North of Lincolnway West. The parade would include cars, buses, floats, bicycles and marchers. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation and recommendation. CONTRACTOR'S BONDS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved a.'Contractor's Bond for Francis D. McGinnity, d/b/a Topher Enterprises until August 14, 1974 and a Contractor's Bond for F & F Home Improvement, Inc. until August 20, 1973. RECOMMENDATION FOR INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to relight the area bounded by Indiana Avenue, Pulaski, Prairie and Olive. The cost to the City will be: A. Install - 23 7,000L MV OH WP (@ $3.50/mo. $ 80.50 Install - 32 7,000L MV OH WP (@ $3.75/mo. 120.00 200.50 B. Remove 24 - 4,000L MV OH WP @ $2.60/mo./ea/ 62.40 Cost: (A less B) $138.10/mo. or $1,657.20/yr. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the installation. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period of August 6, 1973 to August 11, 1973 was received and ordered filed. SIGNING.OF TITLE SHEET - ST. JUDE'S CHURCH AND SCHOOL SEWER The title sheet and plans for the St. Jude's Church and School sewer which will connect to the Gilmer Park sewer were presented to the Board. This will be built at the church's expense and will be subject to City inspection. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed the title sheet. SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - BECK LAKE�SECONDARY STORM WATER OUTLET SEWER Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board signed the title sheet for plans for the Beck's Lake Secondary Storm Water Outlet Sewer. This work will be done by the Department of Redevelopment and will be subject to City inspection.
