REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 20, 1973 <br />REOUEST FOR PARADE - LATIN AMERICAN ASSEMBLY OF GOD <br />The Board received a request.from Rev. Z. R. Cabello, Pastor of the Latin.American <br />Assembly of God Church to hold a parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25. <br />The parade would begin at Pulaski Park, follow Western Avenue east to Lafayette, <br />north on Lafayette to Lincolnway West, West on Lincolnway to Harrison and north <br />on Harrison to their church. The parade would be marchers only and Rev. Cabello <br />estimated there would be fifty young people. The Board asked whether the <br />march would be held on the sidewalk and Rev. Cabello said that it would. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request to allow the <br />march on the sidewalk on the route outlined. <br />REQUEST FOR PARADE - CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH <br />The Calvary Baptist Church requested permission of the Board to hold a parade on <br />Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. in an area West of Portage and North of <br />Lincolnway West. The parade would include cars, buses, floats, bicycles and <br />marchers. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation and recommendation. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved a.'Contractor's Bond <br />for Francis D. McGinnity, d/b/a Topher Enterprises until August 14, 1974 and a <br />Contractor's Bond for F & F Home Improvement, Inc. until August 20, 1973. <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS <br />The Board received a recommendation from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting to <br />relight the area bounded by Indiana Avenue, Pulaski, Prairie and Olive. The <br />cost to the City will be: <br />A. Install - 23 7,000L MV OH WP (@ $3.50/mo. $ 80.50 <br />Install - 32 7,000L MV OH WP (@ $3.75/mo. 120.00 <br />200.50 <br />B. Remove <br />24 - 4,000L MV OH WP @ $2.60/mo./ea/ 62.40 <br />Cost: (A less B) $138.10/mo. or $1,657.20/yr. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the installation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of August 6, 1973 to August 11, 1973 <br />was received and ordered filed. <br />SIGNING.OF TITLE SHEET - ST. JUDE'S CHURCH AND SCHOOL SEWER <br />The title sheet and plans for the St. Jude's Church and School sewer which will <br />connect to the Gilmer Park sewer were presented to the Board. This will be built <br />at the church's expense and will be subject to City inspection. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed the title sheet. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - BECK LAKE�SECONDARY STORM WATER OUTLET SEWER <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board signed the title sheet for plans <br />for the Beck's Lake Secondary Storm Water Outlet Sewer. This work will be done <br />by the Department of Redevelopment and will be subject to City inspection. <br />
