REGULAR MEETING JULY 9, 1973 <br />Also, the portion of the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and St. <br />Peter Street which lies between the south line of the Grand Trunk Western <br />Railroad Company right-of-way and the south line of the first east -west alley <br />south of Wayne Street. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the <br />Engineering Department for study and recommendation to the Board. <br />SIGNING OF CONTRACT - OFF STREET PARKING FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />The Board received a contract with Wilbur Smith & Associates for the Off -Street <br />Parking Feasibility Study which had been previously approved by the Board. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the contract was signed. <br />PROJECT COMPL-ETION AFFIDAVIT - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM PROJECT NO. 5342-71 <br />The Board received a Project Completion Affidavit for Project No. 5342-71, <br />Morris Civic Auditorium Renovations from Slutsky-Peitz Plumbing & Heating Company. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved and signed the <br />completion affidavit. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM PROJECT NO. 1109 <br />i�. <br />The Board received a Project Completion Affidavit for Project No. 1109, <br />Additions & Alterations to the Morris Civic Auditorium from the Aulm Construction <br />Company, Inc. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved and <br />signed the completion affidavit. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM- -_PROJECT NO. Oi4 <br />The Board received a Project Completion Affidavit for Project No. 01471, <br />Roof Repairs and Unit Ventilator for the Morris Civic Auditorium from the Aulm <br />Construction•Company, Inc. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />approved and signed the completion affidavit. <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT T6000 (6) - MAIN STREET FROM SOUTH <br />STREET TO BRONSON <br />The District Engineer's Report of Inspection and Recommendation for Acceptance <br />of the Topics Project T6000 (6), South Main Street from South Street to Bronson <br />Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation was approved <br />by the Board. <br />REQUEST FOR UPDATED STREET LIGHTING - COUNCILMAN!KOPCZYNSKI <br />The Board received a request from Councilman Walter Kopczynski that the street <br />lighting in the area of Indiana Avenue, West from Prairie to Olive Street, be <br />updated. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the request <br />-to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation and report. <br />REQUEST FROM AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY FOR FUND-RAISING ACTIVITY <br />The Board received a request from the American Cancer Society to hold a <br />"Cancer/MS Toll" on August 25, 1973 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at five <br />locations in South -Bend. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />referred the request to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation <br />and report. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO MAKE THE 100 BLOCK OF WESTERN AVENUE ONE WAY EAST <br />The Board received the following recommendation <br />July 6, 1973 <br />To: Board of Public Works <br />From: Bureau of Traffic & Lighting, Clem Hazinski,Manager <br />Subject: One Way Street (100 W. Western) <br />In order to expedite traffic flow by providing additional lanes <br />of traffic to St.Joseph Street, it is recommended that the 100 <br />block of West Western Avenue be made One Way East. <br />
