REGULAR MEETING
JULY 2, 1973
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works convened at 9:30 a.m. on Monday,
July 2, 1973 with Mr. Farrand and Mr. Seitz present. Minutes of the previous
meeting were reviewed and approved. --
PAVING OF DUBAIL STREET WEST OF OLIVE
Mr. Al Bailey of the Sollitt Construction Company appeared at the meeting with
Mrs. Joan Craftman who is planning a truck wash business on Olive Street. Mr.
Bailey said that they had discussed the matter of the City paving a section of
Dubail Street near the proposed building with Mr. Richardson with the suggestion
that they would furnish the material and the City the equipment for this paving.
There was a discussion of the work involved and it was determined that demucking
of the area before any paving could be done would be quite expensive. The Board
asked Mr. Bailey if the Sollitt Construction Company could demuck the street area
at the same time they remove the muck from the building site. Upon motion made,
seconded and carried, the matter was referred to the Bureau of Engineering for
investigation and report and Mr. Bailey was asked to discuss this with Mr. Farra nd.
REQUEST FOR DISPOSAL OF FIRE APPARATUS AND EQUIPMENT
The Board received the following request:
6/15/73
To: BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
From: Asst.
