REGULAR MEETING JUNE 18, 1973 CREST MANOR' SUBDIVISION - SECTION 10 - APPROVAL OF PLANS Plans for the development of Crest Manor Subdivision, Section 10 were approved upon motion made, seconded and carried. AGREEMENT OF LEASE - MICHIANA MACK, INC. An agreement of lease between the City of South Bend, Indiana, and Michiana Mack, Inc. was received by the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the lease to the Legal Department for investigation and report back to the Board. REQUEST FROM BUREAU OF FIRE TO SELL BODY OF AMBULANCE The Board received a request from Asst. Chief Joseph V. Nagy, Bureau of Fire, to sell the body of an ambulance which was totaled -in an accident to Super Auto Salvage for the price of $150.00. The motor of the ambulance unit was removed and given to the South Bend Bureau of Streets for their use. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the selling of the ambulance body. REQUEST TO INSTALL ELECTRICAL SIGNS ON ISLAND - ST. JOSEPH BANK The Board 'received the following letter: June 8, 1973 Department of Public Works City -County Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Sirs. - North American Signs and St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company submit application for approval to install electrical signs on the island at the corner of Jeffer- son and St. Joseph Street, a copy of the street diagram is enclosed for your convenience. The purpose of these displays are to help direct traffic -from the thorough- fare to the entrance of the drive-in portion of the bank. We have submitted the drawing and were approved by the City Building Department but we were requested to file with the Board of Public Works as well. Specifications of the display are as follows A. Overall sizes - Main sign 24" x 816" long - Changeable Copy Sign i s 2411 x 48" B. Heighth above grade - Main sign 5' from grade to bottom of sign - Changeable Copy Sign 216" from grade to bottom of sign Main sign faces will be made of sheet aluminum with cut out letters internally illuminated and faces of the changeable copyboard will be made of sheet aluminum with no illumination. Installation will be made on two square steel posts embedded in a concrete foundation 2' x 2' x 4' deep. Respectfully yours, s/ Don E.
