URBAN RENEWAL PLAN - NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT INDIANA A-10 The following letter was presented to the Board: . May 31, 1973 President Board of Works 1316 County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Reference: Urban Renewal Plan Neighborhood Development Project Indiana A-10 Colleague: In compliance with the statutes of the State of Indiana, this.is to notify you that the Urban Renewal Plan for the Neighborhood Development Project, now known as Indiana A-10, has been approved and is now recorded in the County Recorder's office, St. Joseph County, Indiana, Document No. _143628, Book 277, Pages 453 to 540 and having been so recorded is now in full force and effect. For your convenience and information, we are enclosing an acquisition map and an illustrated site plan map for each of the two areas constituting this project. You will note that one area is in the Southeast Neighborhood and is designated as SE#1 and the other is in Model Cities and is designated as MN#1. It is anticipated that acquisition of properties within these areas shall begin no later than 90 days from the date of this letter and the Urban Renewal Plan contemplates total clearance of both areas. The proposed redevelopment for the two areas has been tentatively approved as a public facility (fire station) for MN#1 area and a multi -family housing for the elderly in the SE#1 area. Please be advised that copies of the Urban Renewal Plan are available for inspection at the office of the Department of Redevelopment, Clerk of the Board of Works, City Clerk and Public Library. LETTER FROM CHARLES F.-LENNON - RE: MERRY AVENUE PROJECT The following letter was presented to the Board: May 31, 1973 President Board of Works 1316 County -City Building . South Bend, Indiana 46601 Reference: Merry Avenue Project Colleague: In accordance with the statutes of the State of Indiana, this is to advise you that the Urban Renewal Plan for the Merry Avenue Project has been approved and was recorded on the books of the County Recorder of St. Joseph County, May 14, 1973 as Document No. 143021, Book 277, Pages 394 to 402, and having so been recorded is now in full effect. As a matter of progress reporting, please be advised that in accepting the Urban
