REGULAR MEETING MAY 29, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works convened at 10:45 a.m. on <br />Tuesday, May 29, 1973 with two ,members, Mr. Richardson and Mr. Seitz, <br />present. Mr. Barcome was absent. Minutes of the previous meeting and <br />special meetings were reviewed and approved. <br />BID OPENING - RIVERSIDE DRIVE-DARDEN ROAD SANITARY SEWERS <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the Riverside Drive -Darden <br />Road Sanitary Sewers, the following bids were opened and publicly read, the <br />Clerk having tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and <br />the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The total amount of each bid was read and the bids were available for <br />inspection by any interested persons. <br />Howell Construction Company Bid was signed by Ronald Howell, <br />51024 Portage Avenue non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />South Bend, Indiana and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Total Amount of Bid - $4,660.50 <br />Bradberry Brothers Bid was signed by W.J. Bradberry, <br />20061 Dice Street non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />South. Bend, Indiana and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Total Amount of Bid - $5,415.00 <br />Dye Plumbing & Heating Company - The non -collusion affidavit was not <br />notarized. Mr. Roemer recommended to the Board that the bid not be <br />read and that it be returned to the Company with a letter explaining <br />why it was not read. <br />H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor Bid was signed by Henry DeWulf, <br />58600 Executive Drive non -collusion affidavit was in <br />Mishawaka, Indiana order and a 5% bid bond accompanied ■ <br />the bid. <br />Total Amount of Bid - $5,310.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to the Division <br />of Engineering for investigation and report. <br />BID OPENING - KEY CONTROLLED FUEL DISPENSING SYSTEM <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for a Key -Controlled Fuel Dispens- <br />ing System, the following bids were opened and publicly read, the Clerk having <br />tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. <br />William M. Wilson's Sons, Inc. <br />Lansdale, Pa. 19446 <br />The bid was not submitted on the proper bid forms as mandated by state <br />law. The bid was not read. <br />Fuel Centers Corporation of America Bid was signed by R. Kent Rowe <br />St. Joseph Bank Building and John Meilinger, non - <br />South Bend, Indiana collusion affidavit was in <br />order. A bank check for $940 <br />was enclosed <br />The bid was for $18,800 for Phase I and $1,000 for Phase II but was not <br />for a key -controlled dispensing system. <br />Petro -Vend, Inc. <br />P. 0.
