REGULAR MEETING MAY 21, 1973 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened�at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 1973 with all members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. BID OPENING - R & s 63 - BENDIX DRIVE This being the date set for receiving bids for Project R & S 63, Bendix Drive widening, the following bids were opened and publicly read, the Clerk having tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient: The total amount of the bid was read and the bids were available for inspection by any interested persons. McIntyre Jones Construction Co. 2526 W. Sixth Street Mishawaka, Indiana Bid - $104,726.00 Rieth-Riley Construction Co. P. 0. Box 775 South Bend, Indiana Bid - $103,653.00 Bid was signed by Kenneth A. McIntyre, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid. was signed by Richard A. Ruhlman, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Engineer's Estimate was $105,965.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to the Division of Engineering for investigation and report. BID OPENING - PROJECT CS-4 - NORTHEAST STORM SEWERS This being the date set for receiving bids for Project CS-4, Northeast Storm Sewers (McKinley Terrace), the following bids were opened and read, the Clerk having tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The total amount of the bid was read and the bids were available for inspection by any interested persons. Howell Construction -Company 51024 Portage -Avenue South Bend, Indiana Bid - $347,259.00 Bradberry Brothers 20061 Dice Street South Bend, Indiana Bid - $385,513.75 Dye Plumbing & Heating Company 712 Madison Street LaPorte, Indiana Bid - $283,626.70 H. DeWulf Mechanical Contractor 58600 Executive Drive Mishawaka, Indiana Bid - $277,664.80 Engineer's Estimate was $413,900. Bid was signed by Ronald Howell, non - collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid was signed by W. J. Bradberry, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid was signed by Charles T. Dye, non -collusion affidavit was found to be in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid was signed by Henry DeWulf, non - collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond accompanied the bid. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the bids to the Division of Engineering for investigation and report.
