361 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 14, 1973 <br />REQUEST TO HOLD TENT SERVICES <br />The Board received a request from the Emmanuel Church of Deliverance to hold <br />tent services the last three weeks in July and to use a -vacant city -owned lot. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the request to <br />the Bureau of Bbiildings and Permits to have Mr. West check existing ordinances <br />and regulations regarding this request and to make.a report to Mr. James Roemer, <br />City Attorney, who will research the legal questions involved. <br />RECOMMENDATION RE: FUND-RAISING BIKE RIDE <br />The Board received a recommendation from Mr. Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting, that approval should be given to the Epsilon Sigma <br />Alpha Sorority to hold a fund-raising bike ride on June 3, 1973. Mr. Hazinski <br />said he has contacted the Police Department and, since the ride will be on the <br />approved bike route, they foresee no problems. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board approved the recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC DEVICES <br />The Board received recommendations from William J. Richardson, P.E., Director <br />of Public Works and Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />for the following traffic control devices: <br />1. Installation of Yield Signs on Essex Drive at Manchester, on Salem <br />Drive at Manchester, on Kent Lane at Manchester, on Oxford Lane at <br />Manchester, on Boynton Avenue at Manchester. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board approved the installations. <br />2. Installation of a Two Hour Time Limit for Parking at 219 W. <br />Madison Street to provide for a turnover of parking space <br />at a doctor's office. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved the installation. <br />3. Installation of Yield Signs at Addison and Teri, Addison and Lueide, <br />and Addison and Barbie. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board approved the installation. <br />4. Installation of Stop Signs at Woodcliff and Manchester, Volt Lane and , <br />Helmen Drive at Manchester Drive, and Sorin Street at Manchester Drive. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the <br />installation. <br />PAYMENT REQUEST NO. 20 - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ADDITIONS <br />The Board received Payment Request No. 20 from the Sollitt Construction Company <br />in the amount of $198,048.59 for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Additions. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the payment request. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND AND EXCAVATION BOND CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES APPROVED <br />The Board received the following continuation certificates: <br />Contractor's Bond: Rieth Riley Construction Co. to 1/l/74 <br />Schumacher -Sons, Inc. to 5/2/74 <br />Excavation Bond: Rieth Riley Construction Co. to 1/1/74 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried,the Board approved the continuation <br />certificates to the dates listed. <br />REPORT ON CONTINUATION CERTIFICATE - BARTOLINI EXCAVATING COMPANY <br />The Board received a report from the Division of Engineering that the Continuation <br />Certificate filed by Bartolini Excavating Company good until 5/13/74 was in <br />order. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Certificate. <br />
