REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 9, 1973 <br />co -sponsored by the local chapter of the Indiana State Teacher's Association <br />and the Council for the Retarded. A map showing the proposed route is <br />-attached. <br />The plan is for the ride to begin at Logan Center at 9:00 a.m. with rides <br />scheduled throughout the day until 3:00 p.m. <br />The route will be well posted and check points established every few miles. <br />Bicycles will be inspected for safety and emergency measures enacted. <br />The proceeds of the ride will be used to further services to the mentally <br />retarded. Linden Thorn <br />Executive Director <br />Upon motion, made, seconded and carried, the request was referred to Mr. Clem <br />Hazinski, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, for investigation and report. <br />REQUEST FROM SALVATION ARMY TO HOLD VICTORY PARADE ON EASTER MORNING <br />The Board received a request from Major Herbert Fuqua of the Salvation Army to <br />hold an Easter Morning parade in the eight -block area around their building. <br />The parade would consist of marchers only and would start at 9:30 a.m. Upon <br />motion, made, seconded and carried, the Board sent this request to Mr. Clem <br />Hazinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, for his study and recommendation. <br />A.C.T.I.O.N. IN -KIND CONTRIBUTION VOUCHERS RECEIVED <br />In -Kind Contribution Vouchers for the use of Fire Stations #10, #7, and #8 for <br />the month of April, 1973 were received from A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. and approved. <br />CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE - RECEIVED <br />Certificates of Insurance were received from Sollitt Construction Company, Tonn <br />& Blank and the South Bend Civic Theatre. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Certificates were referred to the City Attorney for investigation as to <br />whether these certificates meet the city's requirements. <br />REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND FOR MAX OCHS <br />The Board received a report from Mr. Ray Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, that <br />he had investigated the Excavation Bond for Max Ochs and recommended that the <br />bond be released. Upon motion, made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized <br />the release of the Excavation Bond for Max Ochs as of this date. <br />CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES FILED <br />The following continuation certificates were filed with the Board: <br />Contractor's Herschel Willis <br />Excavation McIntyre and Jones Construction Co., Inc. <br />Excavation Creed's Excavating Company, Inc. <br />Upon motion, made, seconded and carried, the continuation certificates were <br />referred to the Bureau of Engineering for investigation and report. <br />
