3/5/73
store may be in violation of the zoning ordinance and are also using an unpaved
lot for parking. They have been called before the Board and were to submit
plans for approval to the Bureau of Engineering for improvements. Mr.
Sakaguchi of the Legal Department said that no plans have been approved by the
Engineering Department for the improvements needed here. After a discussion
of this problem, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board requested
that the Department of Law notify Mr. & Mrs. Szczesniak that an injunction will
be sought to alleviate this situation.
COUNCILMAN FRANK HORVATH - COMPLAINT ABOUT TRASH AND DEBRIS IN ALLEYS
Mr. Frank Horvath, Councilman -at -large, appeared before the Board to ask what
can be done about trash and debris in alleys and if the City Trash Program will
help correct this situation. Mr. Richardson said that all the problems will
not be solved on'April 1st when the City trash program goes into effect. He
said the problem goes back to the people not properly disposing of their trash
and garbage., Mr. Horvath also called the attention of the Board to a car
parked in a yard on Fellows Street and said that the car was driven across the
parkway to get into the yard. Mr. Roemer said that, while the parkways are public
property, it would be difficult to prove that that particular car was driven
across the parkway. The Board requested that Mr. Roemer check to see if there is
an ordinance prohibiting cars from parking on the parkway, or tree lawn, and report
back to the Board, with a copy of his findings to be sent to Councilman Horvath.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made,
seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
111Iam J.
ATTEST:
CLERK
1
1
