REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 26, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Board <br />of Public Works <br />convened at 9:30 a.m, on <br />Monday, February 26, 1973 with <br />all members present. <br />Minutes of the last <br />meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />BIDS OPENED - ASPHALT PAVER <br />Bids for an asphalt paver were <br />now opened and <br />publicly read, the Clerk having <br />tendered proofs of publication <br />of notice in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News, which were found to be sufficient. <br />State Equipment Company <br />Barber -Greene Model SB-140 <br />$54,560 <br />Non -collusion affidavit was <br />Less Trade-in <br />6 678 <br />found to be in order and a 10% <br />Net Bid <br />$46�,$82 <br />bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Delivery 60 to 90 days from <br />date of purchase <br />order <br />Reid -Holcomb Company, Inc. <br />Blaw-Knox Model PFL80H <br />$50,794 <br />Non -collusion affidavit was <br />Less Trade -In <br />81,000 <br />found to be in order and a 10% <br />Net Bid <br />$42,974 <br />bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Delivery 1st week in July <br />Kitchen Machinery, Inc., Panke Division <br />Non -collusion affidavit was <br />found to be in order and a Bid <br />Cedarapids Model BSF-3R <br />$54,926 <br />Bond in the amount of $50,000 <br />Less Trade -In <br />9,243 <br />accompanied the bid. <br />Net Bid <br />$46,683 <br />Delivery in 45 days subject <br />to prior sate, <br />75 days maximum <br />BIDS OPENED - EIGHT SINGLE AXLE DUMP TRUCKS <br />International Harvester Co. <br />Eight 1973 International <br />Trucks Model 2070A $253,203.28 Non -collusion affidavit was <br />found to be in order and a <br />Less Trade -Ins 59,243.28 Certified Check in the amount <br />Net Bid $193960.00 of $19,396 accompanied the bid <br />Option - Lease -Purchase - 6 semi-annual payments of $36,353.00 <br />Michiana Mack <br />Eight 1973 Mack Trucks <br />Model DM487X Net $169,953.00 <br />Non -collusion affidavit was <br />found to be in order and a <br />10% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Option - Lease -Purchase - $30,000 on delivery, six semi-annual payments of <br />$25,147.60 plus $1.00 added to last payment for title. <br />BIDS OPENED - BITUMINOUS DISTRIBUTOR <br />Reid -Holcomb Company Non -collusion affidavit was <br />found to be in order and a 10% <br />Etnyre Bituminous Distributor $10,939 bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred all the above bids to <br />Mr. Decker at the Bureau of Streets for investigation and report to the Board. <br />
