1/2/73 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the appointment <br />of Steve Wieger to the Fire Department, effective January 2, 1973. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION <br />Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standard Director, appeared before the Board and matters <br />pertaining to his Department were discussed. <br />1026-1028 E. Indiana Avenue <br />Mr. Steed requested that this matter be withdrawn. <br />522 E. Ohio Street <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure <br />at 522 E. Ohio Street, the following bids were opened and read, after deter- <br />mining non -collusion affidavits were in proper order: <br />Michiana Builders $690.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $575.00 <br />Machinery Supply Co. $900.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to O'Neal Trucking <br />Co. on their low bid of $575.00. <br />1912 S. Carroll and 302-_3.021__C_alvert Street <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structures <br />at 1912 S. Carroll Street and 302-3022 Calvert Street, the following bids"were <br />opened and read, after determining that the non -collusion affidavits were'in <br />proper order: <br />Machinery Supply Co. $1800.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $1135.00 <br />Michiana Builders $1100.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to Michiana Builders <br />on their low bid of $1100.00. <br />412 E. Calvert Street <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure <br />at 412 E. Calvert Street, the following bids were opened and read, after deter- <br />mining that non -collusion affidavits were in proper order: <br />Michiana Builders $490.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $835.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to Michiana <br />Builders on their low bid of $490.00. <br />REQUEST FROM SHERIFF BOLERJACK RE: PARKING SPACES ON MAIN STREET <br />Mr. Richardson brought to the attention of the Board a letter he had received <br />from Sheriff Bolerjack regarding providing of three parking spaces on Main <br />Street for Police and Court business. After discussion of the matter, it was <br />continued for one week upon motion duly made, seconded and carried. <br />ADDENDUM TO JANITORIAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />The jail area having been left out of the specifications for janitorial <br />services for the Municipal Services Facility, a motion was made, seconded and <br />carried approving an addendum to the specifications covering the jail area. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO.. 3371, 1972 - DEAN STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board continued this hearing <br />until Monday, January 8, 1972. <br />
