11/20/72 <br />STREET LIGHT PETITION - 3602 EDISON <br />Mr. Kvetko, Housing Authority, appeared before the Board along with <br />Mrs Sandra Aberegg, 3602 Edison Apt. A. Mrs. Aberegg read a peti- <br />tion signed by 17 residents of 3602 Edison. Upon motion made, se- <br />conded and carried, the petition was referred to.the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting. <br />REQUEST FOR NEW STYLE STREET LIGHTS - COUNCILMAN WALTER KOPCZYNSKI <br />The following letter was presented to the Board: <br />November 9, 1972 <br />Board of Public Works <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />I hereby request the Board of Works to initiate a program <br />of replacing the old style boulevard type lights with the new <br />style in the Belleville section. This area is bounded by <br />Huron Street on the south, Western Avenue on the north, Gladstone <br />Avenue on the west, and Albert Street on the east. <br />There are a total of 20 fixtures to be replaced with the <br />modern type. I have talked about this to the residents in the <br />area and, contrary to what I have been told, there have been <br />no objections voiced to me against this program. Should some- <br />one voice an objection, I want their name and address so I <br />can contact them personally. <br />I request to be informed as to the progress in this program. <br />Thanking you in advance, I remain <br />Sincerely yours, <br />s/ Walter T. Christ - <br />Excavation <br />Bond <br />- Place & Company, Inc. <br />man Construction <br />Co., Inc. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the above named bonds were <br />referred to Mr. Gammons, Bureau of Construction, for investigation <br />and report. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />Street light outage reports were filed for the period of 11/8/72 to <br />11/16/72. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board determined that <br />the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Public Works <br />and Safety would be held on December 4, 1972. <br />
