11/20/72 <br />In accordance with that certain agreement executed on December <br />12, 1960 and a supplemental agreement dated February 9, 1971 be- <br />tween the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana and the Board of <br />Aviation Commissioners of.St. Joseph County, Indiana covering the <br />operation of a sanitary landfill on a tract of land at the <br />southwest corner of St. Joseph County Airport, please be advised <br />that such operation is now considered as compoete and the finish <br />surface cover and grade is acceptable. <br />The Board of Aviation Commissioners as Lessor has determined <br />both:- agreements referred to above to be terminated and the City <br />of South Bend as Lessee and Ritschard Brothers, Inc., as Con- <br />tractor are hereby released from any further responsibilitf7es in <br />connection with the agreements and the demised area as described <br />in the agreements. <br />The Board extends its thanks to the City and to Ritschard Brothers <br />for the cooperation given in bringing this matter to a successful <br />conclusion. <br />�i <br />Sincerely, <br />BOARD OF AVIATION COMMISSIONERS <br />U OF ST. Minczeski, President <br />EVM/GJ/ps <br />cc: Ritschard Brothers., Inc. <br />MEMO FROM HEALTH DEPARTMENT - COMPLAINT CONCERNING WEEDS MIXED WITH TRASH <br />The Health Department received a complaint concerning bags of weeds <br />mixed with trash between„curb and sidewalk on the corner lot on <br />west side of Lawton and Meade Streets. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board referred this complaint to Frank Koloszar <br />in the Bureau of Sanitation for investigation. <br />SIGNATURE CARDS FOR CONTROLLER AND COUNTY TREASURER <br />Upon motion,made, seconded and carried, the Board approved signature <br />cards bearing the signatures of the City Controller and the County <br />Treasurer for the American National Bank. <br />REQUEST TO PLACE CHRISTMAS KETTLE BOOTHS - SALVATION ARMY <br />The following letter was presented to the Board. <br />November 10, 1972 <br />Re Request to place Christmas Kettle Booths <br />As in previous years, our Christmas kettles have been placed on <br />Michigan at Wayne, Michigan at Jefferson and in front of Osco <br />Drugs, during the holiday season. <br />We are again requesting permission to place kettle booths in the <br />same areas to help raise funds for our Christmas effort for South <br />Bend, to bring Christmas Cheer to many people. <br />Thank you for the past courtesies and may God richy bless you. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />s/ Herbert Fuqua <br />Major <br />County Co-ordinator <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the above request was <br />approved by the Board. <br />
