City Civil Engineer Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adopted said Assessment roll and set 9:30 A.M., December 11, 1972 Room 1308,, County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, as the date and place for hearing all persons interested in or affected by such vacation. O VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3371, 1972 - HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION - DEAN ST. lt� This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. 3371, U 1972 for the vacation of a;:portion of Dean Street lying between the West line of the first North -South alley west of Main Street and the West line of Section 24. T37N., R2E. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on,the_'l0th day of November and the 17th day of November, 1972 and same were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been filed, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the said Reso- lution adopted on November 6, 1972, .is ratified and confirmed .and said streets and alleys closed. The City Engineer is now directed to prepare an assessment roll show- ing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits to the sur- rounding properties. REQUEST TO HAVE 2000 BLOCK N. HUEY SEWERED AT EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY The following letter was presented to the Board: November 16, 1972 William J. Richardson Director, Dept. of Public Works County -City Building South Bend, Indiana Dear Mr. Richardson: For some time the Health Department has been attemptin to cor- rect a sewage problem in the 2000 block of North Huey Street. We have been unsuccessful in getting a property owner to correct his problem of sewage surfacing in his backyard. It was with some considerable interest that we noted that this section of Huey Street is scheduled to be sewered. We would like to request that you give every consideration to scheduling this at the earliest opportunity. This early scheduling will help us eliminate a health hazard. Sincerely, s/ Thomas B.
