W-1 November 20, 1972 A .regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at-9:30 A.M., on Monday, November 20, 1972. A-11 members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were reviewed and approved. BIDS OPENED FOR TWO (2) STREET SWEEPERS This being the date set for receiving sealed bids for 2 street sweepers for the Street Department, the following bids were opened and publicly read: Ries Equipment Co., Inc. 2804 N. Catherwood Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46219 Non -collusion affidavit was found to be in order. A bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid accompanied the bid. 2 Elgin Whirlwind Street Sweepers in accordance with City's specification and the specifications, r-4 attached F.O.B. and Delivered South Bend, Indiana $65,460.00 tom. U Seastrom, Inc. 2351 Kentucky Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46221 Non -collusion affidavit was found to be in order. A bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid accompanied the bid. 2 Ecolotec Vacuum Type Street Sweepers, Mark III Mod II Body, installed on Model C0.1710A International Trucks. No Trade-in's Cab>..air conditioning $1,380.00 Wanderlead 1,600.00 Dual Pick Up Nozzle Assemblies Installed 3,900.00 .Pivoting Wide Sweep 738.00 Price for Two Units, F.O.B. South Bend, Indiana 68,100.92 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids were referred to the Bureau of Engineering for study and recommendation. FIRE DEPARTMENT Chief Bland was present at the meeting and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. RETIREMENT OF FIREFIGHTER CAPTAIN JOHN J.
