65 <br />11/6/72 <br />VACATION�RESOLUTION NO. 3371, 1972 - DEAN STREET - ADOPTED <br />Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board it's favorable recommen- <br />dation for the vacation of a". -portion of Dean Street lying between the West <br />line of the first North -South alley West of Main Street and the West line <br />of Section 24. T37N., R2E, the following Resolution is now adopted: <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3371, 1972 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the <br />following: <br />A portion of Dean Street lying between the West <br />line of the first North -South alley West of Main <br />Street and the West line of Section 24. T37N., R2E <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facil- <br />ities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, <br />gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within <br />the vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by the indi- <br />vidual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />John E. Walz's Revised Addition <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 10th day <br />of November and the 17th day of November, 1972, in the South Bend.Tri- <br />bune and in the Tri County News. <br />This Board, at its office, on the 20th day of November, 1972, <br />at 9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all per- <br />sons interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this 6th day of November, 1972. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />s/ Charles A. Noble, -Clerk <br />COMMUNICATION CONCERNING PROPOSED RECONSTRUCTION OF IRONWOOD ROAD <br />A communication was received from Congressman John Brademas relative to <br />a letter from Mrs. L. C. Magyar. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />this was referred to the Bureau of Engineering for investigation and report. <br />LETTER FROM MRS. LONNIE BOTTOMS - CONSTRUCTION IN FRONT OF 612 S. MAIN STREET <br />The following letter was presented to the Board: <br />October 30, 1972 <br />Board of Public Works and Safety <br />Dear Sir: <br />I'm writing you in regard to construction on the street in <br />front of my house. I have an apartment I rent which is part of <br />my income. I haven't been able to rent it since about the mid- <br />dle of August, there is no way to get to the front of 612 South <br />Main Street. <br />
