10/16/72 <br />1 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr, Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standard Director, appeared before the Board and <br />the following matters pertaining to his department were discussed.: <br />227 North O'Brien Street Charles W. Hahn having presented a quit -claim <br />deed to the city for the property at 227 North O'Brien Street, the Board <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, authorized Mr. Steed to seek <br />bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />1910 Linden Avenue Mr. Steed informed the Board that he had a quit- <br />claim deed for the property at 1910 Linden Avenue, and upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for <br />the demolition of the structure. <br />410 East Pennsylvania Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the owner of the property, Preston Gray, is to be requested to appear <br />before the Board to show cause why the structure at 410 East Penn- <br />sylvania Avenue should -not be demolished. <br />202 Pennsylvania Avenue No receipt having been received to indicate <br />receiving the registered letter sent, this matter was continued one <br />week. <br />1020 Fuerbringer Street Mr. Glen Odom was directed to appear before <br />the Board to indicate whether or not he was interested in bringing <br />the structure at 1020 Fuebringer Street up to standard. In the <br />absence of Mr. Odom, the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />directed Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />2507 Linden Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed <br />was authorized to seek -bids for the demolition of the structure at <br />2507 Linden Avenue. <br />2221 Smith Street The matter of the sub standard condition of the <br />structure at 2221 Smith Street was continued until a receipt is <br />received for the registered letter sent. <br />816 Frances Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. <br />Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure <br />at 816 Frances Street.- <br />514 Kalorama Street Mr. Steed presented a letter from Charles <br />Crutchfield informing him that the house at 514 Kalorama Street <br />could be demolished. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the <br />structure at 514 Kalorama Street. <br />2108 Linden Avenue Clementine Klota, 519 South Carlisle Street, <br />appeared before the Board and requested a continuance of thirty <br />days in which to bring the house up to standard. Upon motion, <br />made, seconded and carried, the request was granted. <br />514 South Walnut This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 514 South Walnut Street, the <br />following bids were opened and read, upon determining that the <br />non -collusion affidavits were in proper order: <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. <br />Michiana Builders <br />$1,500.00 <br />250.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to <br />Michiana Builders on its low bid of $250.00. <br />
