NIEDBALSKI
The following letter was presented by the Chief:
September 27, 1972
Board of Public Works and Safety
County City Building
South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
Please find attached request for retirement effective October 1,
1972, by Captain Daniel Niedbalski.
The office recommends that said request be approved but wishes
notation within the record of the Board of Public Works and Safety
of the splendid contribution to child safety made by Captain
Niedbalski during many years of service as School Safety Education
Officer. Few officers have, in our recollection, effected the
impressions on the minds.of South Bend's elementary aged students
as has Captain Niedbalski, and you will agree I am certain that
such relationships sow the seeds of even more rewarding benefits
as these children continue their growth.
Respectfully,
s/ Robert W.
