to 9/11/72 Commission approval which was secured Friday, September 1, 1972, 1 am transmitting to your care wto (2) copies of a commercial lease for -project property designated at 13-3. We would be pleased if you would place this on the agenda for action at the next Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on September 11. The Redevelopment Commission in authorizing the lease of this land stipulates that the Board of Public Works and Safety would not sublet Commission owned land to private lot operators without their know- ledge and consent. If there is any questions on this matter, please contact Fred Helmen, Commission President or the undersigned. After action by your Board, please return both copies and I will in turn see that you get an original executed copy after our next Commission metting which is scheduled for September 15. Commercial Lease REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - STREET DEPARTMENT- SANITATION The following letter was received: September 8, 1972 Board of Public Works and Safety DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS County City Building South Bend, Indiana Subject: Request for permission to advertise for bids on Sanitation trucks. Gentlemen: We request permission to advertise for bids on two (2) trucks with packer bodies for the Sanitation Department. REQUEST TO PLACE A BARRICADE AT CORNER OF WAYNE AND MICHIGAN A request was received from H. F. Glaser, Construction Contractor, to place a barricade at the corner of Wayne and Michigan Streets for a period of time exceeding thirty days. The following memo was received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting: The attached letter from Mr. H. F. Glaser, 442 Commerce Building, South Bend, Indiana is for the occupancy of curb space for construction of a building in the 100 block of West Wayne Street where three park- ing meters are located.
