• <br />REGULAR 14EETING <br />JUNE 16, 1975 <br />any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />electric,.telephone, gas, water,-.sewer,.surface water control <br />structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless <br />such rights are released by the individual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously,or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation: <br />Lots 73 and 74 in the Commissioner's Sub of Bank <br />Out Lots 85 and 81, <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 20th and 27th <br />day of June, 1975 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri-County <br />News. <br />This Board at its office on the 14th day of July, 1975 at 9:30 <br />o'clock A.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons <br />interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this 16th day of June, 1975. <br />© BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CL7 <br />s/ Rollin E. Barcome <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />REQUEST TO SCRAP TWO POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES <br />The Board received a request from the Police Department for <br />permission to scrap two vehicles demolished in recent accidents. <br />They are to be retained for spare parts. The vehicles are <br />Mechanics 665 and 672. Upon motion made, seconded and carried <br />the Board approved the request to scrap the vehicles. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE APPROVED <br />A recommendation was received from the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting for the installation of Stop Signs on Hoke Street at <br />Randolph. Watch Children signs have also been installed in the <br />1800 and 1900 blocks of E. Randolph. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board approved the installation. <br />TAXI LICENSE APPROVED - EARL G. HAUN <br />Earl G. Haun, whose application for taxi license was denied, had <br />requested a hearing before the Board. Information was submitted <br />to the Board at the hearing by Mr. Haun and by Attorney P. Robert <br />Rigney, Jr. The matter was then referred to Deputy City Attorney <br />Kathleen Cekanski for review. Miss Cekanski submitted her report <br />to the Board with the following recommendation: <br />"After careful consideration of the facts regarding Earl G. Haun's <br />application, further documentation by Mr. Haun and his attorney, <br />and subsequent research of the law and policy issues involved, I <br />recommend that Mr. Haun's application be approved by the Board of <br />Public Works." <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted Miss <br />Cekanski's recommendation and approved the application for taxi <br />license of Earl G. Haun. The City Controller's Office will be <br />notified of Board approval. <br />
