REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 9, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, by Chairman Rollin E. Farrand with all members present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski was also present. Minutes <br />of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - BUREAU OF POLICE <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for a Portable Alarm <br />System, an Automatic Search Reproducer and a Closed Circuit <br />Television Monitoring System for the City Jail facility.- The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />PORTABLE ALARM SYSTE14 <br />Pro-Com Systems, Bid was signed by Don B. Lows, <br />11411 Landan Lane non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />Cincinnati, Ohio and a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - One Five Hundred Channel Alarm Decoder $1,434.00 <br />Ten One Watt Transmitter Units @ 606.00 <br />6,060.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to the <br />Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. <br />AUTOMATIC SEARCH REPRODUCER <br />Magnasync/Moviola Corporat-on Bid was signed by A. Campeas, non- <br />5539 Riverton Avenue collusion affidavit was in order and <br />North Hollywood, California a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - One Portable 20 Channel Reproducer $ 3,145.50 <br />One Time Reader 1,395.00 <br />One Automatic Search Control Unit 715.00 <br />$5,256.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to the <br />Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. <br />CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION MONITORING SYSTEM <br />Radio Distributing Company <br />1212 High Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - Total Equipment Cost <br />Labor <br />1 <br />Bid was signed by William A. Davidson, <br />non -collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a check for $1661.00 accompanied the bid. <br />$15,810.00 <br />Rnn nn <br />$16,610.00 <br />Meade Electric Co., Inc. Bid was signed by Robert Magnetti., non- <br />1825 Summer Street collusion affidavit was in order and a <br />Hammond, Indiana 46320 1070 bid bond accompanied the bid. <br />Bid - Total Equipment Cost 22,450.00 <br />Labor Cost 8,371.00 <br />24 Hour Maintenance - One Year 5,868.00 <br />Total Bid $36,389.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the bids <br />to the Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. <br />
