REGULAR MEETING JUNE 9, 1975 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m, by Chairman Rollin E. Farrand with all members present. Deputy City Attorney Kathleen Cekanski was also present. Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. OPENING OF BIDS - BUREAU OF POLICE This was the date set for receiving bids for a Portable Alarm System, an Automatic Search Reproducer and a Closed Circuit Television Monitoring System for the City Jail facility.- The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: PORTABLE ALARM SYSTE14 Pro-Com Systems, Bid was signed by Don B. Lows, 11411 Landan Lane non -collusion affidavit was in order Cincinnati, Ohio and a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid - One Five Hundred Channel Alarm Decoder $1,434.00 Ten One Watt Transmitter Units @ 606.00 6,060.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to the Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. AUTOMATIC SEARCH REPRODUCER Magnasync/Moviola Corporat-on Bid was signed by A. Campeas, non- 5539 Riverton Avenue collusion affidavit was in order and North Hollywood, California a 10% bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid - One Portable 20 Channel Reproducer $ 3,145.50 One Time Reader 1,395.00 One Automatic Search Control Unit 715.00 $5,256.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was referred to the Bureau of Police for review and recommendation. CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION MONITORING SYSTEM Radio Distributing Company 1212 High Street South Bend, Indiana Bid - Total Equipment Cost Labor 1 Bid was signed by William A. Davidson, non -collusion affidavit was in order and a check for $1661.00 accompanied the bid. $15,810.00 Rnn nn $16,610.00 Meade Electric Co., Inc. Bid was signed by Robert Magnetti., non- 1825 Summer Street collusion affidavit was in order and a Hammond, Indiana 46320 1070 bid bond accompanied the bid. Bid - Total Equipment Cost 22,450.00 Labor Cost 8,371.00 24 Hour Maintenance - One Year 5,868.00 Total Bid $36,389.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the bids to the Bureau of Police for review and recommendation.
