REGULAR MEETING MAY 5, 1975 <br />REQUEST FOR CYCLETHON - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION <br />The Board received a�letter from the American Heart Association <br />requesting permission to hold a Cyclethon on October 2, 1975, so <br />that their date would not conflict with the March of Dimes as it <br />has in the past. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for <br />preliminary investigation. <br />LETTER FROM MRS. JANE SWAN RE: PARKING'METERS <br />The Board received a letter from Mrs. Jane Swan advising them that <br />she had checked the meter about which she complained to the Board <br />on West Washington Street. She said the meter head and the signs <br />in the block now agree. Upon motion made, seconded and carried,the <br />letter was ordered filed. <br />APPROVAL OF TAXI LICENSE TRANSFER <br />The Board received a report from Chief John H. Walsh, Bureau of <br />Police, that his Department had reviewed the request to transfer <br />Taxi License No. 9 from George Fultman to Charles Herbert and he <br />recommended approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board approved the taxi license transfer. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, recommended approval of the <br />following bonds: <br />Contractor's Bond for C. E. Stafford Construction to April 25, 1976 <br />Contractor's Bond for Thomas J. Henderson to May 14, 1976 <br />Contractor's Bond for R.W.M. Construction Company to May 5, 1976 <br />Contractor's Bond for Donald O. Morris to April 29, 1976 <br />Contractor's Bond for Ziolkowski Construction Co. to April 30, 1976 <br />Excavation Bond for Ziolkowski Construction Co. to April 30, 1976. <br />APPLICATIONS - RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />The following applications were received for River Bend Plaza. All <br />applications had the favorable recommendation of Plaza Director <br />Louis Wilcox. <br />1. Ronald H. Beelby, Vehicle selling food on the Plaza. This <br />application was referred to the Legal Department for clarification <br />of licensing and insurance procedures. <br />2. Memorial Hospital - Display only - May 18, 28, 29, June 1, 15, <br />July 3, 4, 5 and 6. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the application was approved. <br />3. Northern Indiana Artists - Display only, September 13. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the application was approved. <br />4. First Apostolic Church - Sale of non-food items, Fridays, May <br />through August. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />application was approved. <br />5. Beta Gamma Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Various games <br />on Saturday, July 26, during Sidewalk Days. This application <br />was referred back to Mr. Wilcox for information as to whether <br />they are a profit -or not -for -profit organization and how the <br />pcoceeds will be used. <br />
